Abandoned Theme Parks

1.) If i could go to any one of those amusement parks shown i think i would like to go to Okpo Land, South Korea. I think i would go to this one because it seems really creepy to me. I think its just something about how the young girl died on the duck ride and how the manager disappears the night after it happened, without saying sorry.

4.) I chose a railroad track

5.) I think it would be a unique place to take pictures just because no one really goes onto the railroad tracks to take pictures, most people just take pictures of the sky or other people. I think you would just take pictures of a train or the tracks if you went to the railroad.

6.) If i was going to take pictures at a railroad track i would need to know the trains that come on this track and the times. I would also need to know a location of a railroad track. I would also have to be sure no one people or cars get in the photo.

Funny Captions

A crazy kitten named Todd in Austin, Texas climbs into a cup and tries to imitate the face.  The cup fell over afterwards and the kitten bumped his head.

A deer named Julie was hungry and started biting our snowman's nose in the back yard of our house in Baltimore, Maryland. The deer stopped after eating about half the carrot, and ran away leaving the carrot with a broken nose.

Black and White Photographers Part 3

1.) The first thing that caught my eye was the way his photos looked and how he took them. The way his photos look, and how they are black and white, and how some are sepia. They just look really cool, and i like them a lot.

2.) I see a cracked wall that is painted white. It has been there for years and is chipping slowly, pieces of it are barley hanging on. You can see the old paint hidden underneath it all.

I smell a lot of fumes in the air, and i hear a lot of people. They are about to fix and repaint the wall and make it look new. There are a lot of people there taking a lot of pictures of the old wall before it gets renewed.

I hear people footsteps and paint buckets. I also hear the sound of the camera lenses clicking when people take a picture. I hear more peoples voices saying oooo when they take a good picture.

I can taste the smell of paint as they start renewing the wall back to its original shape and form. I also taste some paint chips as the scrape the old paint off of the wall. Everybody is just waiting for it to be done.

I feel that the wall is staying the same in the photo. Even though it probably is differnt and won't be the same. The photographer is probably happy he got to take a really good photo of the wall.

3.) I think that out of all of the decisions (Posters, Blog, Powerpoint, etc.) I would choose a poster/poster board. I would do this because you could easily fit many ideas and make it organized really simply. You can also move it around and hang it. So if you wanted to show other classes you just pick it up. You can put words, pictures, and drawings; anything you want to put.

Academic Shoot Reflection

1.) The only challenges i had during this assignment was finding a place to shoot photos, and finding what to take pictures of and how to make them incorporate one of the 6 rules of photography.

2.) A couple technical aspects i was think about the most were focus, and framing. I was thinking about focus, because i didn't want my photos coming out blurry. I was think about framing because i didn't want an accidental merger in every photo that i took.

3.) If i could do this assignment again, i would change the way i took my Balance and Framing photos. I think those were the most challenging to get pictures of.

4.) I would still do my Lines, Simplicity, Rule of Thirds, and Avoiding Mergers photos the same way i did last time. I would also go to the same class rooms.

5.) I think the easiest rule to achieve is Avoiding Mergers, because all you have to do is get someone halfway in the shot or get someones arm sticking out or something.

6.) The hardest rule to achieve would have to be Balance, because it is hard to balance out the photo, because i had to manipulate the people in the photo, and get two people of about the same height to stand next to each other.

7.) I understand all of the 6 rules of photography.

Academic Photo Shoot Photos

Lines

1.) I think that i followed the rule pretty well. It shows lines from the finger and how it is pointing to the work she has so far written, and it shows lines on the paper.

2.) I think that there is two subjects in this photo. I think the hand is a subject and i think that the blue writing is a subject as well.

3.) Yes, i think it is very clear and quite easy to see exactly what the subject is.



Simplicity

1.) I think i followed the rule well in this photo that i took. You can clearly see that she is using academics by reading a book.

2.) The subject of this photo is her, and she is reading. You can see it and easily tell what is happening in the photo.

3.) Yes, it is very clear what the subject is doing in this photo.

Rule of Thirds

1.) I think in this photo i followed the rule kind of good, but i think i could have taken a better one if i wanted to.

2.) The subject of this photo is the teacher teaching her class, while the students learn.

3.) Yes, in this photo you can clearly see what the subject of the photo is.


Balance

1.) I think i followed the rule good on this photo that i took. They are working hard and in a group of two.

2.) In this photo you can see that there are two subjects. They are both working and taking notes with each other in class.

3.) Yes, in this photo you can clearly see that the subjects of the photo are working together.

Framing

1.) I think in this photo i followed the rule pretty well. She is standing in the doorway, which is the frame around her.

2.) The subject in this photo is her standing in the doorway smiling. She is posing in front of the doorway to get the rule of framing.

3.) Yes, you can clearly see what the subject of this photo is, she is standing in the doorway posing.


Avoiding Mergers

1.) I think in this photo i followed the rule pretty good, but if i wanted a better picture i could have taken a better one.

2.) The subject in this photo is putting her head down reading, and this allows the other girls hair in the background to show, making it look like the girl in the foreground has a pony tail type thingy.

3.) Yes, i think it is clear what the subjects in the photo are doing, they are reading a paper.

Mural Project

1.) Right now i don't really know a theme that we could use. Maybe just use a theme about something happy.

2.) I think we should use cameras and phones, but the cameras would probably look better.

3.) I really don't know where we would put it up. I would just put it somewhere where everyone could see it.

1.) I liked the photos that he took of the wildlife. He made every photo different, cool, and unique.

My Favorite Photo

3.) I chose this photo as my favorite because the giraffes look cool all together and the sun is out above their heads. The color of this photo is really cool too.

4.) Rules of Photography shown in this photo:
Simplicity - because you can clearly see the main subject.
Lines - because the lines on the giraffe and the lines of the giraffes bodies.
Balance - because all of the giraffes are balancing each other out, and the giraffes necks are curved and not just straight.
Framing - because it just shows the giraffes and not everything around them.
Avoiding Mergers - because the right center part of the photo shows a giraffes head coming out of another giraffe.
