Extra Credit For Final Exam

.) The man was pushed onto the tracks by someone unknown, and the photographer used his camera flash while taking pictures to get the drivers attention, but the train couldn't slow down in time.

.) He said he took the photo to use his flash to get the train drivers attention.

.) I think that he has his own right to take whatever photos he wants to take.

.) No, i don't think he should have just used his flash. I think he could have taken some pictures and then helped the man by waving his arms or by screaming something.

.) I disagree about the people running the photo on the front cover. I think that since he is dead they don't have permission to use the photo like that, and it also might worry people and get people sad.

.) I think that to a photojournalist it is more important to get a good photo, and then help someone else out if they need help.

.) I think it is right to involve yourself, because you can help with the pictures you take and because if you don't get involved, you might have evidence that your not using that could help.

.) I think that photojournalist should try not to influence and just take photos and let things happen like they're supposed to happen. I think it makes the photos even better if they're not influenced.

.) I think this is the most appropriate response to the situation "It is the disturbed gentle man who pushed Ki Suk Han who is to blame in his death, not the photographer who couldn't stop the collision." - Bethany Swain, lecturer at the University of Maryland and member of the National Press Photographers Association board of directors.
